WHO WE ARE

GUAJA. is a Portuguese Prêt-a-Porter brand, which combines high quality, timelessness and sustainability in all its pieces. It was founded in 2019, at the hands of two sisters and their mother, who are responsible for all the processes associated with the brand.

Started at a kitchen table, with no outside funding and the least investment possible, GUAJA. was built step by step. Designed, cut and sewed by its founders.

In GUAJA. we excel in the design and elaboration of samples in our atelier. It is this detail-oriented vision that gives each of our models high quality and unprecedented customer satisfaction.

GUAJA. was founded with the premise of creating pieces that, due to their design and materials, will last in your closet for a long time. Each piece is a real investment in a closet that emphasises elegance.

THE FACTORY

However, and this being one of the most important aspects of GUAJA., sustainability does not only involve respect for the environment, but also the support of the surrounding community. Our brand is made by people for the people and the impact we have on our employees is extremely important to us. We buy and produce locally supporting local businesses. We must contribute to a more conscious and sustainable fashion market, with fair remuneration and abolishing all forms of exploitation around us. All designs are made in the North of Portugal.

WE CARE

At GUAJA. we follow a zero-waste policy.

We give priority to organic, natural, recycled and biodegradable fabrics, certain types of cotton, linens, silks and even some viscose. However, you will also find polyesters in our collection, and in these cases, we opt for Deadstock fabrics. All our pieces are limited editions, to have as little waste as possible.

As far as our packaging is concerned, it is made of recycled cardboard and it is plastic-free, as are all its components.
