Paris is our 2nd home but if you’re a GUAJA. follower you already know this by heart. When the time came for us to pick a location to shoot the new collection, it was a no brainer. Our parents lived here, in Passy, for almost ten years and our favorite thing to do has always been just strolling around our favorite quartier’s and absorb the beauty and elegance of the city.

On one of our favorite quartier’s, Les Marais, you have the Rivoli street, well known for shopping , but for us, the real magic unfolds in the streets behind it. The home of lots of vintage stores filled with clothes covered in history and so much style, that resonated way more with our sense of fashion: unique, timeless and sustainable.
Our first small business was actually tracking down incredible gems in vintage stores in Paris and reselling them in Portugal. We believe that closets should be a mix of old school magic and modern lines. One that tells stories and stands the test of time. With this in mind, we wished to offer others the chance to own remarkable vintage items at a time when the vintage market was virtually nonexistent in Portugal.
THE INSPO BEHIND THIS DROP - The Effortlessly chic Parisian Women
The thing about Parisians is that they truly appreciate life and always look amazing while doing it. If we had to pick an inspiration, it would have to be la femme parisienne, who always looks effortlessly chic from work to happy hour.
At first glance, they don't seem to put much effort into creating outfits, it almost looks natural and unintentional. However, if you take the time to really observe them (as we did for countless hours while sharing some ice cream), you can see their elegant essence.
We aimed to capture that timeless elegance with our pinstripe suit (link), a true classic, as well as in our skirts. The idea is that our customers won’t need to accessorize much, the pieces are stunning enough on their own. You should wear the clothes, clothes should not wear you.
Wine & culture - A way of living
Without a doubt, this was the city that most influenced our vision of aesthetics and our personal style, though it also influenced us in many other different ways.
Besides Les Maraisand Passy, we also love the 11ème quartier - Popincourt. Also known as the Bataclan quartier, you can absolutely feel the “bon vivant” culture and watch thebelle vie unfold in front of your eyes-meeting your friends after work for a glass of wine, while laughing and sharing all the gossip from work . Women change their stilettos for a more stylish, and comfier pair of shoes, and men loosen their ties and collars. They’re always ready to have a good time and just enjoy life. Life is never about work.
We also love to visit the Jewish quarter and the quartier Latin - it’s actually where Emily In Paris lives. Both of them are absolutely not to be missed as they’re filled with history, culture, amazing galleries, restaurants and the most picturesque coffee shops.
The Arts - Paris is a museum in itself
If you’re more into art, we recommend the Petit Palais . They have a tremendous collection and expositions that are absolutely astonishing, and guess what? It’s free! If you’re in the mood for some Carrie Bradshaw vibes and want to enjoy a good book with a glass of wine, you’ll adore their amazing café with a beautiful terrace that overlooks the garden, right in the middle of the museum. A true hidden gem.
We, also, absolutely love visiting the area surrounding le Passage des Panoramas , a stunning and charming galerie that exudes old-world elegance. This covered passageway is lined with amazing galleries, vintage-inspired food shops, and it showcases the work of talented artists of all kinds. The atmosphere has that romantic old movie vibe, transporting you back to a bygone era of intimate cafés, filled with elegant Parisian women and their cigarettes, whispering and gossiping.
Baguettes, Ice creams and crepes, all with the best view
As cliché as it sounds, a ride down the Seine in the famous Bateaux-Mouches at sunset is absolutely breathtaking. You can see all the city’s glory and romance. As well as the most iconic buildings and streets. Is one of those cliches that are well known for a reason.
Nonetheless, we also love strolling along the banks of the Seine, starting at the Eiffel Tower and making our way to the Arc de Triomphe, capping off the promenade with a delightful picnic on the seine’s river bank, like any good french would do. Oh, what a treat!
Hidden gem : these are off-the-books kind of tips for non-touristy spots, frequented only by authentic Parisians (you can thank us later)!
The best crêpe in the all wide world, it’s served in Esterina . Don’t let the people holding ice cream cones fool you, you’re in for the crêpes and you’re not gonna regret it. They’re absolutely amazingly delicious and we simply can’t visit the city without stopping there at least once (read: once a day)!
Le Flore en l’Ille serves the best ice cream you'll ever taste, all while offering a stunning view of the Notre-Dame Cathedral, all in The Quai d’Orleans - one of our favorite spots in the whole city. The experience is beautifully enhanced by the melodic strains of violins and pianos playing on the Saint-Louis Bridge, creating an enchanting and genuine Parisian atmosphere.
Whether you're strolling through the coolest blocks, discovering vintage treasures, or savoring the simple joys of Parisian life, we hope our collection brings a piece of that magic to your wardrobe.
Now it’s your turn to embrace the effortless chic of la femme parisienne! Let us know which pieces are your favorite and how you style them. Share your looks with us, and let's keep the Parisian vibe alive, no matter where we are.
